The challenge
Sudameris was facing one of the most critical processes in the financial ecosystem: the operational and technological merger with Banco Regional, involving the coexistence and integration of different core banking systems and multiple transactional platforms.
The project required working on:
- functional migrations,
- sign-offs,
- operational stability,
- business-critical validations,
- and continuous support during the technology transition.
One of the main challenges was to integrate knowledge of the different core banking systems involved — particularly Bantotal and ITGFS — ensuring operational continuity and quality over highly sensitive banking processes.
The project also had to be delivered within a tight schedule, in a highly demanding context with teams whose capacity was very constrained, requiring extremely precise management of priorities, tasks, and delivery times.
The solution
From Qualis Lab we supported Sudameris with a multidisciplinary setup of specialists in quality, automation, performance testing, and core banking.
The work included:
- Adding specialized Bantotal talent to support the transition and integration with ITGFS.
- Functional validations and sign-offs over critical banking processes.
- Test automation over web banking and mobile channels.
- Design, execution, and maintenance of automated suites.
- Performance and stress testing over transactional platforms.
- Operational support during the implementation and subsequent stabilization.
The automation team worked with Ranorex to build and maintain functional automation, while the performance team used K6-based frameworks together with Grafana for monitoring, observability, and load behavior analysis.
After the initial implementation, we also supported the evolution of the new Sudameris web and mobile banking platforms, contributing to:
- feature updates,
- design changes,
- evolutionary maintenance of the automated suite,
- and new performance test cycles to validate the operational capacity of the new platform.
